The handover ceremony and dossier handover ceremony from the outgoing Director General, Dr. Américo Miguel, to the new Director General, Dr. Juelma Matias Pinto, took place this Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in the main hall of the Angolan Institute for Industrial Development and Technological Innovation (IDIIA).
Dr. Américo Miguel, who joined the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MINDCOM) in 2019, resigned after six (6) years of dedication to public service, carried out between the extinct National Institute of Innovation and Industrial Technologies (INITI) and the current IDIIA.
In his statement, he acknowledged the ups and downs faced throughout the mission and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to have contributed to the consolidation and operation of IDIIA.
In turn, Dr. Juelma Matias Pinto paid tribute to her predecessor and firmly and promptly pledged to continue the tasks pursued by the Institute.
The event was witnessed by members of the Board of Directors and guests.
